Description:

The main page (www.archlinux.org) and the download page (http://www.archlinux.org/download/) don't mention the latest snapshots of Arch (2008.03 and 2008.04-rc). That could lead new users to download an older snapshot (2007.08-2) and to have issues with it.

Just a note: I will be pushing out a "OMGNEW" ISO as soon as I can get code from simo to do this.

Also as for why it hasn't been done yet: the .isos currently available are all RC status, rather than releases

The request is not to have the latest isos on the front page, but to have RC status isos easier to access. Looking at the mirrors page, I see that you can download the rc iso just as easily as the latest stable one. I'm thinking two things are necessary to make this more intuitive:

1) list the RC isos on the home page, but clearly mark that they are RCs, not stable isos
2) Make the download page easier to browse. I'm thinking an interface where you select a mirror and select an iso (stable or RC) and it automatically builds the download url for you.
