a better report:

a) I attach the device with the USB cable: it is recognized and mounted by the hal daemon
b) 20 seconds later I lost the connection with the device without detaching it.

Did you try without the cable?

I have tryed with another cable and I've got the same error.
On my laptop with archlinux the usb mass storage works without problems with the digital camera.
The iAudio works on windows pcs and on my server with gentoo linux.

Anyone tried the 2.6.26 kernel?
Comment by Jens Pranaitis (jensp) - Wednesday, 06 August 2008, 06:48 GMT
I'm getting the same error on a vanilla 2.6.26.1 kernel with the iAudio F2, works on Windows XP.

status on .27 kernel?
Comment by Luca Guglielmetti (evellon) - Tuesday, 21 October 2008, 16:56 GMT
my problem was probably related to the hardware: I changed the motherboard of the laptop and now all the usb devices - included the iAudio 7 - are correctly recognized.
