Summary:
The menu bar alone is over the size of my screen, though the text for the menu is normal sized. Clicking on it results in a giant menu popping up that is too big to be useful, and appears to be without text. Trying to exit firefox 3 results in a giant window without text or buttons (hitting enter quits the browser however).

This is the most recent package of firefox 3 (as of April 30). Any more relevant information will be posted on request.

Kind regards,
Jacob Myers

did you try moving your ~/.mozilla to another location and trying again?

I've never seen anything like this, so I don't think I'm going to be able to do much here. The firefox3 package hasn't been updated for a while, so if you haven't noticed this before (I don't know if you have had it installed for a while), then it must be something that changed on your system.

Indeed, I have tried moving my ~/.mozilla. I have also taken the (decidedly drastic, but I'm desperate) measure of removing all installed packages and reinstalling them. I have also tried removing GTK folders, thinking that was the issue, still to no avail.

Sorry to post again, I forgot to add this to my previous comment. The issue has been present since I installed it (it was one of the first packages that I installed).

Try to create a new user account and see if you still have this problem.

Tried that, but had the same issue.

Aha...

The issue was already fixed in firefox beta trunk, thus this issue does not exist in minefield (the nightly firefox builds). The DPI of the system was not properly detected, causing widgets to be drawn much too large. I'll leave it to you folks to decide what to do from here.
