Description:

I installed Yakuake on a Gnome enviroment. When run, it outputs:

$ yakuake
kbuildsycoca running...
DCOP aborting (delayed) call from 'anonymous-21410' to 'yakuake'
ERROR: Communication problem with yakuake, it probably crashed.
[diego@gregorovius ~]$ KCrash: Application 'yakuake' crashing...
Could not find 'drkonqi' executable.
KCrash cannot reach kdeinit, launching directly.

and closes. Installing Kdebase solves this issue.

Additional info:
* package version(s)
$ yakuake --version
Qt: 3.3.8
KDE: 3.5.9
Yakuake: 2.8.1

Cheers.

can someone actually do this? I just spent a long time in channels getting it figured out why yakuake wasn't working.. since I'm on xfce4.

I can confirm 06-2008 build of arch linux = still has this bug.

I've been told that a pacman -S kdebase will fix this.

Is this still valid with yakuake-2.9.3 and kdelibs-4.1.0?

Bug is resolved.

$ pacman -Q yakuake kdelibs
yakuake 2.9.3-1
kdelibs 4.1.0-3
