Sorry for opening a FR for such a small issue like this. I'm
using evince in non-Gnome environment.
The official evince.desktop has a line 'NoDisplay=true' which hides evince from my (xfce) menu. You may say that most people uses evince as the associated viewer for a certain file, but I think an other common usage is: open evince, open recent and "continue" reading. So I suggest remove that line. I also modified the category to 'Categories=Viewer;' in order to put evince to Office (not to Graphics) "menu". (Probably changing the order of categories would also help.) As I see, most other distros also patch evince.desktop, so I don't know why this 'NoDisplay=true' is the default. |
